Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to city officials.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
