I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
